Recently Openwebui, arguably one of the better open source frontend projects providing openai api compatibility, has pulled a license change and this has me looking for “what next” and I have some additional frontends I decided to deploy. I like moving slowly on the software side, stability and predictability in software is good and it is easy to have longer running content value to viewers. License changes like this catch a lot of users off guard and while they can seem innocuous they also have large impacts. Not to slam them, it is in very large part their software creation aside from contributors, but I won’t cover it anymore in install guides. Many of my channel users are interested in OCI compatible licenses, which they are not now. I mean they did remove the words open source in this pull request 👀 from their projects wording which I do not think they had to do at all.
 
Here are some of the best looking and most functional frontends that I have found so far. These are also MIT licensed and I have tried to find projects with multiple contributors as decision makers. Also there are 6 below projects listed below 😁
